I hadn't thought about doing them in Acid format! I've done a bit of googling and found a free version of Acid. I'll look into this and see what I can work out.

As for removing cymbals.. hmmm.. kinda tough. I've played all these live on a drum set. Actually removing a part from them totally changes everything. What is it about the cymbals in particular? Too many? Having any is a problem? Perhaps if there were longer breaks between cymbals hits that would be more useful?  Should I just make some without any cymbal hits at all?
